Whether you have a brand to promote, a book you need edited, a document you need proofread or a story to tell, Zest Communications can help.
As an accredited editor with the Institute of Professional Editors, I understand how important it is for your words to sing and to be error-free. It’s your reputation on the line, after all. That’s why hiring a professional editing and proofreading service is so important.
Please get in touch and we can discuss your needs. Here’s a quick outline of the services I offer – or you can click on the tabs above for more information.
Nothing detracts more than errors in spelling, grammar, consistency and style … you can rest assured, as the owner of a professional writing and editing service, I will make sure your words flow and that there are no mistakes!
I edit all kinds of documents and communications materials – from government reports, corporate publications, websites, magazines, articles, annual reports, conference papers, brochures, fliers, newsletters and more.
I am also a pro at turning bureaucratic language and hyperbole into simple, plain English that anyone can understand.
I specialise in memoir, biography and general non-fiction. That’s because I am passionate about helping people tell their stories.
What type of editing does your book need? I offer a complete service from manuscript assessment and coaching to help you complete your book, to structural / developmental editing, line or copy editing, and proofreading.
I’m also good at holding the hand of first-time authors through the stages of editing, and advising on the publishing process.
You can read more about the stages of editing here.
To capture attention in this overcrowded market, your story needs to be captivating, persuasive and compelling. Your message needs to be clear and concise, and you need to grab the reader’s attention and inspire them to action.
I can help you get your message out. Having worked with some of the biggest brands in Australia and the world – from Virgin to Coles – I’ve learned how to understand a client’s needs and develop a product to reach their customers.
Interviewing people over many years for magazines, articles, books and memoirs has helped me to develop a skillset that a good ghostwriter needs: empathy, sensitivity, patience, humour and the ability to listen.
Whether you need an article or blog post written, or an entire book, I can help. Contact me, and we can discuss your project, assess your needs, and develop a plan for how we can best work together. Then either face-to-face, or by Skype or phone, we can draw the story out and onto the page.
On a more personal scale, I write individual people’s stories – from palliative care patients leaving their memoirs behind for their families, to ghostwriting books for people with a great story but not the skill (or time) to get it out. I also write personal histories – similar to a memoir but with some family history added in. I might also research a personal history more widely, looking at the era and setting the scene creatively. You can find out more about my life story writing business Life Stories Ink here.
So there you have it! If you need the help of a professional content writer, or editing and proofreading service, please get in touch. I look forward to talking to you.
